Moonwalkers

It's 1969 and, paranoid that the Soviets are winning the space race, the US government hires deranged Vietnam vet Kidman (Ron Perlman) to persuade film director Stanley Kubrick, the genius behind 2001: A Space Odyssey, to create fake moon landing footage... just in case the real one doesn't take place. However, Kidman leaves the arrangements to music manager Jonny (Rupert Grint), a deadbeat chancer who intends to use the government's cash to pay off his mob debts. Unfortunately, Jonny's own fake Kubrick (Robert Sheehan) is fooling nobody... A far-out comedy based on an actual true rumour.

A young crook with a poetic heart (Franz Drameh) tries to turn his life around after meeting a genial mentor (Ken Stott). And just as a taxi driver (Charlie Creed-Miles) and his wife (Kierston Wareing) are dealing with one piece of bad news, life delivers them another tragic blow. Help comes in the form of former assistant Claire (Kristen Bell), who reluctantly brings her into the apartment she shares with her teenage daughter Rachel (Ella Anderson), a youth team member whose cookie sales get Michelle thinking. I Am Legend

In 2009, 99% of humankind is wiped out by a man-made virus. Three years later, military scientist Robert Neville (Will Smith) is the last living person in New York. From dawn to dusk, he struggles against loneliness, boredom and the fading hope of finding a cure or other survivors. But at night he has a different ordeal, as the darkness belongs to the once-human 'infecteds'. With frequent bursts of action to shatter the eerie peace, the deserted streets of Manhattan provide an impressive backdrop to this blockbusting third adaptation of author Richard Matheson's sci-fi apocalypse.

The Smuggler

Gullible TV repairman Ray Jenkins (Angus Sampson, who also writes and directs) is persuaded by a buddy to swallow 20 condoms full of heroin and smuggle it into Melbourne from Thailand. However, he's spotted by suspicious cops and is placed in a hotel room under round-the-clock supervision until he's, erm, cleared out his digestive system (twice) and convinced good cop Paris (Ewen Leslie) and bad cop Croft (the splendidly obnoxious Hugo Weaving) that he doesn't have any dope in his system. A big hit Down Under, this buttock-clenching comedy is done in true Aussie style.
