The Mexican

Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts pair up for this screwball crime caper from the director of Pirates of the Caribbean. Pitt stars as a reluctant gangster whose boss orders him to smuggle an ancient (and supposedly cursed) pistol called The Mexican across the border. Meanwhile, his neurotic girlfriend (Roberts) has been snatched by a hitman (James Gandolfini)... who turns out to be a lot more sensitive than her dumb fella. Ten Thousand Saints

In this 1980s-set coming-of-age tale, surly teenager Jude (Asa Butterfield) makes plans with his buddy Teddy (Avan Jogia) to get high on New Year's Eve at home in Vermont. However, their best laid plans are stymied when Jude's errant father (Ethan Hawke) - who's back in his life after walking out a decade before - sends  along Eliza (Hailee Steinfeld), the rebellious daughter of his current girlfriend (Emily Mortimer).  The aftermath triggers a sequence of events that ensure Jude grows up very quickly indeed. Emile Hirsch co-stars in this quirky drama from the directing team behind cult hit American Splendor.
