Western adventure starring Fess Parker as Davy Crockett, the Tennessee hunter and Indian scout who became an American legend and one of the country's most celebrated pioneers. It's easy to see why as Davy never fails to keep his cool, whether facing down bears and crocodiles or brokering peace between natives and white men. So it'll be no surprise that Disney's 1950s 'Frontierland' series - of which Davy was the hero - resulted in the sale of more replica coonskin hats and copies of the theme song "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" than you can shake a tomahawk at.
