A group of unemployed Sheffield steelworkers turn to stripping to make ends meet in this very British box office smash. By turns raucous and thoughtful, the story sees Robert Carlyle, Tom Wilkinson and the lads learn to put pride aside and make a few bob by getting their kit off. While the finale never fails to get people on their feet, it's the benefit office shuffle to Donna Summer's Hot Stuff that sums up its heart. Titanic might have pipped it to the Best Picture Oscar, but it couldn't beat Anne Dudley's uplifting Best Score.
