John Boorman directs the notorious sequel to William Friedkin's head-spinning horror classic. Four years after having Satan purged from her soul, teenager Regan MacNeil (Linda Blair) is once more possessed by the tenacious demon Pazazu. Louise Fletcher stays close to the Cuckoo's Nest as the psychologist who helps doubt-ridden priest Richard Burton to end her bedevilment. Boorman's arresting visuals create a disturbing atmosphere, not least the surreal sight of James Earl Jones in a bee costume.
