Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton play a couple feuding choristers forced to co-operate if their backwoods Georgia choir is to stand a chance in the National Joyful Noise Competition. The feisty Vi Rose (Latifah) favours tradition, while G.G (Parton) whose grandson Randy (Jeremy Jordan) is the new kid on the block, is out to shake things up. With larger than life divas belting out aisle-filling showtunes, this brassy caper undoubtedly belongs in the same camp (and we use the word wisely) as Glee and Sister Act.
