After the disintegration of society, a lone man (Martin McCann) makes his home in a cabin in the woods relying on subsistance farming to avoid starvation. After eking out a living for seven years, a woman (Olwen Fouere) and a teenage girl (Mia Goth) arrive at his settlement, an unwelcome development that disturbs his equilibrium. In his first feature, director Stephen Fingleton evokes an authentic atmosphere of lives lived on the edge in this lean and utterly convincing glimpse into an unthinkable future.
