Sherlock Holmes gets the rodent treatment in this mystery tale (should that be tail? ) based on the children's book Basil of Baker Street by Eve Titus. Aided by the trusty Dr Dawson, Victorian super-sleuth Basil is hired by the daughter of a mouse toymaker who has been kidnapped. Inevitably, the trail leads to Basil's arch enemy Professor Ratigan. The dirty rat, voiced by Vincent Price, wants to force the toymaker to build a fake Queen who will grant him great powers to become ruler of Britain's mouse population. An animated adventure with all the trappings.
