Awkwardness ensues when struggling filmmaker Sam (Josh Gad) offers the lead role in his new movie to his actress girlfriend Sammy (Kristen Ruhlin)... only for a Hollywood star (Hilary Duff) to show an interest in the same part. As if their domestic situation wasn't squirmy enough, what with Sammy's super-rich ex (Johnny Messner) currently living with them to help pay the rent. Sam's love-or-money dilemma and a knowing cameo from Charlie Sheen make for the sort of cringy comedy Ricky Gervais would be proud of.
