Cowed by constant fear of their human persecutors, the monster race - including Frankenstein, The Mummy and The Invisible Man - now spend their down time at the gated resort Hotel Transylvania, run by Dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler). They're all on holiday when Drac celebrates the birthday of his 118-year-old teenage daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez). However, when nerdish backpacker Jonathan (Andy Samberg) accidentally gate crashes the celebrations, the monsters find themselves reassessing their fraught relationship with their human neighbours.
